Mundka Fire: Aam Aadmi Party’s MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak made a big allegation on BJP and said that only and only BJP-ruled MCD is responsible for the death of 27 innocent people who died in the fierce fire in Mundka. In 2016, BJP MCD issued factory license keeping all the rules in mind. After a few months, the BJP MCD had to cancel the license after receiving a complaint from the people, but all the work kept going on secretly.
Durgesh Pathak said that in spite of the sealing of the monitoring committee of the Supreme Court in 2018, industrial activities continued in the building till now. The BJP-ruled MCD was fully aware of this. Durgesh Pathak demanded that the entire incident should be investigated and strictest action should be taken against the owner of the building and all the BJP people associated with him.
Durgesh Pathak released pictures
Durgesh Pathak said that Manish Lakra is the owner of this building. What such power is there in Manish Lakra that all the activities continued even after the monitoring committee of the Supreme Court sealed the building. Showing two pictures, he said that these pictures are of Manish Lakra, who is wearing a BJP flag and many other big personalities of BJP are seen standing with him. In the second picture, Master Azad Singh is sitting in the car with Manish Lakra. Describing about Master Azad Singh, Durgesh Pathak said that he has also been a councilor and mayor of BJP many times. For the last three times, he has been fighting Mundka elections on a BJP ticket. Azad Singh is the real uncle of BJP MP Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma.
Durgesh Pathak alleged that in 2015, when the Delhi Assembly elections were being held, the BJP’s election campaign was also running from this building. This means that this building belongs to the people of BJP. Whatever work was being done in this building till date, it was being done only with the help of BJP leaders. After these allegations, Durgesh Pathak said that only and only Bharatiya Janata Party is responsible for the death of 27 innocent people who died. There should be an investigation into this entire incident and strictest action should be taken against all the culprits associated with the building.
BJP responded to the allegations
At the same time, on these allegations, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the BJP has no relation with the building owner nor is he a member or office-bearer of the party. Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that in 2019, a government liquor shop of the Delhi government was opened in this building, after which the Supreme Court committee had sealed it.
The building owner had got the building de-sealed in 2020 by giving a request letter to the monitoring committee and paying the related fines etc. Similarly, the Northern Municipal Corporation has never given any factory or warehouse license in this building till date.
Raising the question, he said that, the Delhi government should tell how it got such heavy electricity connections and fire NOCs and how the government liquor shop was opened in this building illegally in 2018-19. Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that BJP has nothing to do with the owner of this building, Manish Lakra.
