Ketaki Chitale: A Maharashtra court on Sunday sent Marathi actress Ketki Chitale to police custody till May 18 for allegedly sharing an objectionable post on social media about Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar. An official gave this information. He said film and television actress Chitale, 29, had allegedly shared a post on her Facebook page for which Thane police arrested her on Saturday.

A senior police official said the actress was produced before a vacation court on Sunday which remanded her to police custody till May 18. Chitale and 23-year-old pharmacy student Nikhil Bhamre were arrested on Saturday for sharing an objectionable post about Pawar.

Thane police arrested

Marathi film and television actress Ketki Chitale was arrested by Thane police from Navi Mumbai. In another case related to this, the second arrest was made from Nashik. Nashik police arrested 23-year-old Nikhil Bhamre, a pharmacy student. A case was registered against both the Marathi actress and pharmacy student for posting derogatory posts on Facebook about Sharad Pawar.

Marathi actress Ketki Chitale shared a post written by someone else on her Facebook, in which Sharad Pawar’s full name was not even written, only Pawar was written. Pawar and age 80 years were written in the post. Sharad Pawar has also turned 81 years old. Chitali is accused that he wrote this post only about Sharad Pawar.
