Delhi CM Calls Meeting On Bulldozer: An important meeting of the leaders of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party of the national capital has been called today against the operation of a bulldozer on illegal encroachment by MCD in Delhi. All AAP MLAs will be present in this meeting called by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. This meeting will start at around 11 am. The process of reaching the MLAs at the CM residence is going on. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has also reached.
Encroachment by the three municipal corporations in several parts of Delhi including Shaheen Bagh, Madanpur Khadar, New Friends Colony, Mangolpuri, Karol Bagh, Khyala and Lodhi Colony Anti-dumping campaign is being conducted, under which illegal constructions are being demolished. According to officials, the meeting will begin at 11 am at Kejriwal’s official residence in Civil Lines, in which a strategy will be chalked out to take on the BJP for its anti-encroachment drive.
The meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on Saturday but was canceled after a massive fire broke out in a commercial building in Mundka area. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging him to stop the “demolition work” in the name of anti-encroachment drive. Sisodia also criticized the BJP’s “bulldozer politics” and claimed that the three municipal corporations were jointly planning to demolish 63 lakh houses in the national capital.
