Gyanvapi Masjid: With the completion of the survey work in the Gyanvapi Masjid, the Hindu side has claimed to have found a 12 feet Shivling inside the mosque. At the same time, after this claim of the Hindu side, the Varanasi Court has issued an order to seal that place. All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly objected to this decision of the court.
Owaisi said in a speci al conversation with ABP that this is a violation of the 1991 Act. He said that I term today’s court order as an attack on the institution of Muslims. He said that the lower court ruled against the decision of the Supreme Court. But the lower court does not have the right to go against the SC’s decision.
Violation of 1991 Act
Owaisi said that the 1991 Act says that the nature and character of any religious place that was on 15th August 1947 cannot be changed. Today this order given by the court violates the 1991 Act. Secondly, he said that the survey commissioner does not report to the court. In this case, the verdict has been given without listening to the Muslim side. Owaisi said that the Supreme Court had heard this matter only yesterday, the lower court should not have given the decision in such haste.
