CBI Raids Chidambaram’s House: Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said on Tuesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today raided his Chennai residence and his official residence in Delhi. They did not find anything in the raid and nothing was confiscated. The former Union minister also said that “the timing of the raids, however, is interesting”.
Chidambaram said in a statement that this morning a CBI team raided his Chennai residence and his official residence in Delhi. “The team showed me an FIR in which my name was not registered as an accused. Nothing was found in the raid and nothing was confiscated.”
This morning, a CBI team searched my residence at Chennai and my official residence at Delhi. The team showed me an FIR in which I am not named as an accused.
The search team found nothing and seized nothing.

He said, “I would like to point out that the timing of the raids is interesting.” A new case has been registered for taking bribe of Rs 50 lakh. This information was given by the officials on Tuesday.
The agency has raided 10 locations of Karti in different cities of the country including his residence in Chennai and Delhi on Tuesday morning. A CBI team also reached the official residence of Karti Chidambaram and his father and Rajya Sabha MP P. Chidambaram at Lodhi Estate in Delhi, officials said.
