CM Kejriwal reached Mundka 19 hours after the fire, announced 10 lakh compensation, magisterial inquiry


Mundka Fire: The Delhi government has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in a massive fire that broke out in a building near the metro station in Mundka, Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia reached the spot on Saturday morning and took stock of the current situation.


During this, CM Kejriwal said that a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each will be given to the next of kin of the deceased. Along with this, 50-50 thousand rupees will be given to all the injured. CM ordered a magisterial inquiry and said that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the case. No one will be spared.


Let us tell you that on Friday night, 27 people died in a fire in a building near the metro station in Mundka, Delhi, while many people were seriously injured. According to the information received, this building is 4 storey which is used commercially to provide office space to the companies.


So far, the bodies of 27 people have been recovered in the incident while 29 people are still missing. Further, the police have registered FIR in this entire case under IPC 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 120 (concealment to commit offense punishable with imprisonment). FIR has been registered. In addition, the owner of the company has been arrested. However, the owner of the building is still absconding.
