Assembly Election 2022: Congress is gearing up for Himachal Pradesh assembly elections and this time the party has decided to give a national secretary in every district. Amidst all this, the special thing has come to the fore that national secretaries will be kept in 12 districts, out of which one third will be from Priyanka Gandhi’s team. Sources say that Priyanka Gandhi has taken the reins of the party in her hands for the purpose of returning the Congress to power in the state. In the AICC meeting held on Saturday, it was decided that a national secretary should be posted in every district to strengthen the party.
The names of the national secretaries who have appeared in this meeting are as follows- Deepika Pandey, Chandan Yadav, Rajesh Tiwari, Rohit Chaudhary, Dheeraj Gurjar, Pradeep Narwal, Vikas Upadhyay, Vijay Singla and Chetan Chauhan. All these national secretaries have been instructed to start work within a week. After the Chintan Shivir held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, these people have been given this work on behalf of the party.
Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and in-charge Rajiv Shukla attended the meeting at the Congress headquarters and issued necessary instructions.
4 leaders who worked in UP elections also got responsibility in Himachal
Sources believe that the way four leaders who had worked with Priyanka Gandhi in UP have been deployed in Himachal Pradesh, it is clear that Priyanka Gandhi will have a special focus on the Congress’s mission to return to power in the hill state. Recently too, the Congress leadership reshuffled the state organization and made Pratibha Singh, wife of former Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh, the state president.
Congress gave a blow to BJP in the by-elections
In the by-elections held last year, the Congress gave a big blow to the BJP. Here Mandi had won the Lok Sabha as well as 3 assembly seats. Now it remains to be seen whether the Congress can retain this victory in the by-election or not. Because this time the Aam Aadmi Party has also jumped in this battle of Congress and BJP and Arvind Kejriwal is touring the state. Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Punjab adjoining Himachal and both these national parties had to face defeat. In such a situation, the Congress has a chance, but the biggest challenge before it will be to bring the anti-BJP vote in its court, otherwise Kejriwal is likely to get that vote.
