Delhi LG orders FIR against Jal Board officials

LG Action AAP: Another scam of Arvind Kejriwal government of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come to light in Delhi. It is alleged that a scam of Rs 20 crore took place in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Regarding this matter, now the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena has issued an order to register an FIR against the Jal Board officials.

The Lieutenant Governor (LG) has ordered the Chief Secretary to register an FIR in this matter. Along with this, LG has also sought action taken report from the Chief Secretary in 15 days. This scam started from 2012. This scam happened when Arvind Kejriwal was the president. Some bank employees are also included in this.

Have recommended investigation regarding these matters

Earlier, the Lieutenant Governor had approved a proposal to send a complaint to the CBI to probe the alleged corruption in the purchase of 1,000 low-floor buses by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). In September, the LG had ordered a departmental inquiry into allegations of irregularities in the appointment of guest teachers in schools run by the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government and embezzlement of funds in payment of salaries of “fake” teachers.

Lieutenant Governor Saxena has also recommended investigation regarding the excise policy of Delhi. For this he had demanded a CBI inquiry. Since then, the game of LG vs Chief Minister started in Delhi. Even in September, the Lieutenant Governor had ordered action against Arvind Kejriwal on charges of evasion of stamp duty of Rs 25.93 lakh, taking forward the proposal of investigation.

Tension between you and LG is not decreasing

The tussle between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Lieutenant Governor, which started with the liquor scam, is still not taking the name of stopping. The ongoing tussle between the two has now taken a new turn. After a long-running dispute, now once again the issue of Delhi Jal Board has refreshed it.
