Odisha Crime: There has been a fatal attack on the Health Minister of Odisha, Nab Kumar Das. He was shot in which he was injured. At present, he has been admitted to the hospital. The incident took place in Brajrajnagar area of ??Jharsuguda district at around 12.30 pm on Sunday. Regarding the attack, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that he is shocked.
He said, “I am shocked by the unfortunate incident of attack on Minister Shri Naba Das. I strongly condemn the attack on him. I pray for his speedy recovery. The crime branch has been directed to investigate the matter. Senior officers of crime branch have been asked to go to the spot.”
According to reports, Nab Das, who had gone to attend the programme, was fired upon as soon as he got down from the car. He has been admitted to the hospital where his condition is said to be critical. Nab Kishore Das has been shot at very close range. According to reports, he has got 4-5 bullets in the chest. According to the latest information, the ASI has been accused of firing at Nab Kishore Das.
MLA for the third consecutive time from Jharsaguda seat
Nav Kishore Das contested for the first time in 2004 on Congress ticket from Jharsaguda seat of Odisha. He lost the election for the first time. After this, again in the year 2009, he contested on Congress ticket and won. In the year 2014 also won from Congress. In the year 2019 elections, he was elected MLA from this seat for the third time in a row. Nav Kishore Das is considered an influential leader in the region.
