Supreme Court on Gyanvapi Mosque Survey: Important hearing was held in Supreme Court today in Gyanvapi Masjid case. After this, the court directed that during the survey in the mosque, the place where Shivling is being said to be found, the security of that area should be ensured. The court has directed the District Magistrate of Varanasi in this regard.

At the same time, the Supreme Court said that Muslims can continue to offer Namaz in Gyanvapi Masjid without any hindrance. Along with this, the top court issued notice to the petitioner Hindu devotees. Now the date of 19 May has been fixed for hearing on the petition of the Masjid Committee.

Let us tell you that on Monday, a court in Varanasi district had directed the district administration to seal the part of the Gyanvapi mosque complex where a Shivling has been claimed to be found. At the same time, the court had said that people should be barred from entering the place where the Shivling is claimed to be found and only 20 people should be allowed to offer prayers in the mosque. This decision has been stayed by the Supreme Court.

In fact, the survey work of the Gyanvapi mosque complex was done between 14 and 16 May. During this, the Shivling was claimed to be found. After this, the lower court limited the number of people offering Namaz.

At the same time, the Gyanvapi Masjid management moved the Supreme Court against the decision of the lower court. The top court has heard on this today.
