Hanuman Chalisa Row: The controversy regarding Qutub Minar is gaining momentum. On Tuesday, people associated with Hindu organizations had reached Qutub Minar while reciting Hanuman Chalisa, who have been taken into custody by the police. People have also recited Hanuman Chalisa outside Qutub Minar. United Hindu Front claims th at Qutub Minar is a Vishnu pillar.
Some people carrying saffron flags were going towards Qutub Minar while reciting Hanuman Chalisa, although the police present in large numbers did not allow them to proceed. Barricades were also put up on the way to Qutub Minar. United Hindu Front’s international working president Jai Bhagwan Goyal was placed under house arrest on Tuesday morning for not allowing Hanuman Chalisa to be read at Qutub Minar.
United Hindu Front says, history bears witness that Qutub Minar is actually a Vishnu pillar. This tower was built by demolishing 27 Jain and Hindu temples. The idols of Jain and Hindu deities in this complex should be renovated and installed with respect and Hindus should be allowed to worship here.
