Rajya Sabha Polls in Uttar Pradesh: In the elections to be held on 11 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, BJP is sure to get 8 seats and Samajwadi Party 3 seats. The BJP alliance has 273 MLAs and the Samajwadi Party alliance has 125 MLAs in the assembly. With the issuance of notification for the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on 11 seats in the state from today, the process of filing nominations will start. Nominations can be filed till May 31.
Voting on June 10 from 9 am to 4 pm
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 1 regarding Rajya Sabha elections and names can be withdrawn by June 3. On June 10, voting will be held from 9 am to 4 pm and counting will be done from 5 pm. There are 31 MPs in the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. The tenure of 11 of these members ends on July 4. BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra will not be able to go to the Rajya Sabha this time.
How many seats will BJP and SP get in UP?
On the basis of political calculations, BJP is expected to get 8 seats and Samajwadi Party (SP) 3 seats in the elections to be held on 11 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. Jansatta Dal Democratic and Congress has two MLAs and BSP has one MLA. BJP can get the support of two MLAs of Jansatta Dal. While the Congress and the BSP do not have an alliance with any party, both the parties can stay out of the election.
