Jharkhand Pooja Singhal Case: On behalf of the Enforcement Directorate ie ED, it has been said in the Jharkhand High Court that there have been big revelations in the interrogation of suspended IAS Pooja Singhal, arrested in the MNREGA scam. Many important documents have also been found. The ED has claimed in the court that the entire scam has been carried out under a big racket through fake companies. Many big politicians leaders are involved in this. Since 2010, Pooja Singhal was delivering bribe money to the leaders and ministers. There are 18 FIRs registered in this. The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the Jharkhand government is still investigating the matter.
Along with this, the ED said in the High Court that there is a possibility of influencing its investigation on the part of the state government, so the investigation should be handed over to the CBI. Solicitor General of Government of India Tushar Mehta has said this on behalf of ED in Jharkhand High Court. A special hearing was being held in the Jharkhand High Court on the issue of running shell companies on behalf of CM Hemant Soren and his close associates and allotment of mining lease by CM Hemant Soren in his name.
ED recommends CBI probe
The ED has recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter in the court. Earlier in the last hearing, the ED had told the court that it is taking action in the Pooja Singhal case in which it has got important documents which it wants to show in the court. The court had asked to deliver those documents in a sealed cover to the Registrar General of the High Court. ED has given the sealed envelope. ED has received information about more than 20 shell companies from her husband Abhishek Jha’s Pulse Hospital in raids in Pooja Singhal case through which black money is converted into white.
Petition was filed in HC regarding fake companies
Shivshankar Sharma had filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court in the cases of CM Hemant’s mining lease and shell companies. Shiv Shankar Sharma’s advocate is Rajiv Kumar. Kapil Sibal was keeping the side on behalf of the Jharkhand government. A special court sat to hear the matter. The matter was in the court of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad.
