IndiGo Prevented Specially Able Child: IndiGo stopped a handicapped child from boarding the plane at Ranchi airport because he was “panicked”. Following this, aviation regulator DGCA has started investigation and asked the airline to submit a report. This information was given by the officials on Sunday. Officials said that since the boy was stopped from boarding the airline’s Ranchi-Hyderabad flight on Saturday, his parents also decided not to board the flight. Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) chief Arun Kumar told the media that the regulator has sought a report from IndiGo in this matter.

Disabled child prevented from boarding the plane

Arun Kumar said that the DGCA is investigating the incident and will take appropriate action. When asked about the incident, IndiGo has said that in view of the safety of the passengers, a differently-abled child could not board the flight with his family on May 7 as he was nervous. He said that the employees waited till the last moment for him to calm down but to no avail. He said that the airline provided him hotel accommodation and he took off for his destination the next morning.
