Maharashtra: Ashram operator in Nashik accused of sexually abusing 6 girl students including 5 minors

Maharashtra News: The operator of an ashram in Nashik, Maharashtra, has been accused of sexual harassment with six girl students, including five minors. While investigating the matter, the police has arrested the director of the ashram.

On November 24, a minor girl from the ashram assaulted the director of the ashram, Harshal More (Harshal More

) complained to the police, after which the accused was arrested while taking action on it. While investigating the complaint of the victim student, the police interrogated 15 other girl students studying in the ashram. During interrogation, 5 out of 15 girl students accused Harshal More, the director of the ashram, of sexual exploitation. According to police sources, out of the 6 girl students making the allegations, 5 are minors. Police has registered an FIR against the accused at Mhasrul Police Station under the POCSO Act.

Father sentenced to death for raping minor daughter

In Haryana, a fast track court has sentenced a father to death for raping a minor daughter. While sentencing the convict on this matter, the judge said that if the daughter is not safe with the father then no one can protect her. At the same time, before the sentencing, the convicted father pleaded with the judge that he is the father of three children and has to take care of them, so he should be lenient. However, taking the matter seriously, the judge sentenced the convict to death and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. Along with this, asked to give a compensation of 5 lakh to the victim girl.
