Mann government sent a reply to the letter of the governor, seeking approval to convene the assembly session on September 27


Punjab Assembly Session: The Punjab government, while replying to the letter of Governor Banwarilal Purohit, has sought approval for the assembly session to be held on September 27. It was said from the government that during the session many issues like GST, stubble and electricity will be discussed. Earlier, the Governor had approved the Punjab cabinet’s decision to convene a special session of the Legislative Assembly on September 22 to bring the confidence motion. Which was withdrawn a day later.


The Raj Bhavan had then cited no specific rule to convene the assembly session only to discuss the confidence motion. It was stated by the Governor that due to the “absence of specific rules”, the order of the special session of the Legislative Assembly called for the confidence motion by the Punjab Government stands withdrawn. After which you became the attacker.

CM Bhagwant Mann had said by tweeting that, “Governor not allowing the assembly to run raises big questions on the democracy of the country. Now democracy will be run by a public representative elected by crores of people or a person appointed by the central government. On one hand Bhimrao Ji’s constitution and on the other hand Operation Lotus, the public is watching.”

Punjab government again called session

After being barred by the Governor from holding a special session of the Legislative Assembly to seek the trust vote, the AAP government in Punjab decided to convene the session once again on 27 September. State Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had said on Thursday that the assembly session would be held on September 27. He said that issues like electricity and stubble burning will be discussed in this session.

CM god value (Bhagwant Mann) had said on Thursday that, “The people are big in a democracy. Not letting the government elected by the people work is the murder of democracy. Today, in the cabinet meeting, it was decided to call a session on 27 September. Rivers cannot be stopped, they make their own way.”
