Dr. R. P. Parashar says that using these medicines from the first day when fever comes, neither the number of platelets will decrease much nor there will be bleeding in the body. These medicines are beneficial in all types of fever and even if there is no infection of dengue, then there will be no harm from the use of these medicines. To make a decoction, boil 20 to 25 leaves of Harsingar in half a liter of water and filter it when the water remains half. Give this decoction to the patient after every 2 hours in the amount of twenty milliliters (four spoons). Black pepper, basil and giloy can also be mixed with Harsingar leaves in the decoction. It has been proved in various researches in the country and abroad that the juice of papaya leaves, Giloy, Gooseberry and Kalmegh have antiviral properties and these drugs eliminate the virus, but do not harm the body in any way. But medicines should be used only with the advice of a doctor.
