National Games Scam: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested many people, including the officials of the Jharkhand Government, the then chairman of the National Games Organizing Committee, regarding the rigging of the 34th National Games case in Ranchi in the year 2011. Registered a criminal case against him and raided 16 places in Delhi, Jharkhand and Bihar. Many important documents have been claimed to have been recovered during the raids, which are being investigated.
CBI spokesperson RC Joshi said that the people against whom the case has been registered include former MP and chairman of National Games Organizing Committee RK Anand, the then sports director of Jharkhand government PC Mishra, SM Hashmi and the then treasurer of Jharkhand Olympic Association Madhukant Pathak. Names included. In this case, the Anti-Corruption Wing of Jharkhand Government had registered a case and started investigation. But later this investigation was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation on the orders of the High Court. The CBI had started investigation in this case last month by registering a case under various criminal sections.
This allegation on the organizers
According to the CBI, there is an allegation in this case that there was a large-scale brokerage in the sports equipment, equipment etc. purchased during this event. Apart from this, irregularities on a large scale were also committed in the other services taken in these games. Keep in mind that in February 2011, these games were organized in Ranchi. According to the CBI, many electronic devices, equipment and documents have been recovered during today’s raid, from which many important information related to this case can be revealed. All these documents and equipment are being checked, the investigation of the matter is going on.
