After which petrol has become cheaper by Rs 9.50 and diesel by Rs 7. After this, while on one hand the ministers of the government are praising the decision, on the other hand the opposition says that the government has done the work of withdrawing its own increased prices. Now Union Minister Anurag Thakur has advised the state governments regarding this matter.


Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the way crude oil prices have increased in the world. It was bound to have its effect in India as well. Keeping in mind the interest of the public, the excise duty on oil has been cut. It is hoped that the states will also cut their taxes so that the common citizens are not affected.


Kerala and Rajasthan government also reduced prices
Let us tell you that after this announcement of the central government, the Rajasthan and Kerala governments have also reduced the prices of petrol and diesel. The Kerala government has announced a reduction of Rs 2.41 and Rs 1.36 in state tax on petrol and diesel respectively. At the same time, the Rajasthan government has also announced to reduce VAT on petrol by Rs 2.48 per liter and on diesel by Rs 1.16 per liter.


Those who bought gas cylinders also got relief
Let us inform that, apart from petrol and diesel, the government had also given relief to those who bought gas cylinders and decided to give a subsidy of Rs 200 per gas cylinder to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme. Announcing this, Nirmala Sitharaman said, “We will give a subsidy of Rs 200 per gas cylinder (up to 12 cylinders) to more than 9 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This will help our mothers and sisters.”
