Part of tunnel collapsed on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban, 7 people trapped, rescue operation underway

Jammu Kashmir News: Nine people were trapped, of whom two have been rescued when a part of an under-construction four-lane tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district collapsed on Thursday night. Rescue operation is going on to rescue the remaining seven people.

Officials said that a small portion of the front of the tunnel in Khooni Nallah collapsed during the investigation. He said that the police and the army immediately started the joint rescue operation. Officials said two people have been rescued and seven people are still trapped inside the tunnel.

The Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Project Director, DIG and SSP are present on the occasion.
