High Court advocate Vinay Sharma said that in the petition, a CBI inquiry has been demanded for a fair investigation of the case. It has been said in the petition that only those police officers who were involved in the Rohit Malpani Police Recruitment Selection Board have been kept in the SIT constituted for investigation. In such a situation, how will the investigation be conducted in a fair manner? He said that the paper for the written examination of police constable recruitment has been leaked. The paper leaked under the supervision of the police and the police itself is investigating the matter. In such a situation, questions are being raised on fair investigation. In the petition, along with the CBI investigation of the case, the demand for re-examination from the Hamirpur Selection Board has been raised.
The written examination was conducted on 27 March 2022 for 1334 posts of Himachal Police Constable. 74,757 candidates appeared in the examination. Of these, 26,346 passed the written examination. While 47,365 failed. 1046 candidates remained absent. A total of 1,87,476 applications were received for the posts of constables. The question paper was leaked even before the written examination held on March 27 for 1334 posts of Himachal Pradesh Police constables. After which the investigation is going on after registering an FIR in Kangra and forming an SIT. On which questions are being raised.
