Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule on Sunday said that a perverted mentality is not good for the society. He said this in the wake of an objectionable post allegedly shared by Marathi actress Ketki Chitale about her father and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Chitale was arrested on Saturday from Navi Mumbai over a post he had purportedly shared on his Facebook page.

It is being told that the post shared by Chitale was written by someone else. It reportedly included phrases like ‘hell awaits’ and ‘you hate Brahmins’ referring to the NCP president.

,it’s a matter of culture,
Sule said in Nashik, “I don’t know him. It is an issue of culture. I am thankful to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis and MNS chief Raj Thackeray for raising their voice against such posts.” The MP said that it is about the culture when someone wants your parents and their death, whom you consider ideal in public life. Sule said that a perverted mentality is not good for the society.

On Saturday, NCP’s women’s wing workers threw black ink and eggs at the pyre outside the Kalamboli police station in Navi Mumbai. Shiv Sena leader and former Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said that age and seniority should be respected in public life. According to Pednekar, the actress had said that she was ill.

,No support for attack on Chitale,
Sule said that she does not support the attack on Chitale by women NCP workers. He said that the misuse of social media is serious. Sule said that he was brought up in middle-class Marathi values ??and abusing anyone is not a part of his culture.

Sule asked that in which culture does speaking or wishing about the death of one’s father or the death of a person fit in? Asked about Chitale’s social media posts, Sule said some people have written something on his Facebook page. Sule said it does not fit into any law and the law will take its own course.

When asked about Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s criticism of central agencies in his public meeting held in Mumbai a day ago, MP Sule said misuse of central agencies is a reality.

Sule said, “Former Maharashtra home minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh was targeted. The Center had conducted a record 109 raids on Deshmukh. These agencies had to conduct another raid as they could not find anything 108 times. This is a hypocrisy.”

,No issue raised by rising prices,
Sule said she does not consider anything more important than issues like inflation, rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders. She said that she urges the Prime Minister to convene a meeting of Chief Ministers of all the states and immediately discuss what can be done to check rising inflation.

When Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole called ally NCP a “back attacker”, Sule said that people are often criticized from whom we expect.
