Pulitzer Award: Danish Siddiqui received Pulitzer Award posthumously, Talibanists took their lives


Pulitzer Award: The list of winners of the Pulitzer Prize for the year 2022 has been released late Monday evening. In which the late Danish Siddiqui of Reuters has been included in the field of journalism. Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed by Taliban bullets during an attack in Afghanistan.


The Pulitzer Prize is America’s highest award in the field of journalism. Currently, Danish Siddiqui has been included in this list of posthumous Pulitzer Prizes for feature photography along with Adnan Abidi, Sana Irshad Mattoo and Amit Dave of Reuters. Simultaneously, Ukrainian journalists have been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for 2022 with a special citation.


In the US, January 6 has been included in the list of journalism’s top honors for coverage of the attacks on Capitol Hill, withdrawal from Afghanistan and the collapse of Seaside apartment towers in Florida.

Let us tell you that photojournalist Danish Siddiqui has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize in the past as well. In the year 2018, Danish Siddiqui was given the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. He was given the award along with a colleague and five others for his portrayal of violence faced by Myanmar’s minority Rohingya community.
