Gujarat Assembly Polls: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will visit Gujarat this week. During this, Rahul Dahod and Kejriwal will address public meetings in Rajkot. Assembly elections are likely to be held in December this year in Gujarat, which has been ruled by the BJP for the last 27 years. The AAP is trying to replace the Congress as the main challenger to the ruling party in Gujarat.
Rahul Gandhi will address the ‘Adivasi Satyagraha Rally’ in tribal-dominated Dahod on Tuesday. On the other hand, Kejriwal will address a rally in Rajkot city on Wednesday. On May 1, Kejriwal jointly addressed a tribal rally along with Indian Tribal Party (BTP) leader Chhotu Vasava in Bharuch district.

Tell me, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Dahod on April 20 and initiated various projects worth Rs 22,000 crore for the tribal area. According to a Congress statement, Rahul Gandhi’s rally will be organized at the historic Navjeevan Arts and Commerce College in Dahod and after the program, he will meet party MLAs as well as interact with leaders of tribal areas of the state.
Congress rally aims to protect tribal constitutional rights
The Congress statement said that the purpose of the rally is to protect the constitutional rights of tribals. The Congress claimed that the tribals are in trouble under the BJP rule. AAP spokesperson Yogesh Jadwani said Kejriwal will address a rally in Rajkot on May 11 and the detailed schedule of his Gujarat visit will be announced later.
