Rape case filed against Rajasthan minister’s son in Delhi, victim said – threat to my life


Rajasthan News: A 24-year-old girl from Rajasthan has filed a rape case against Rohit Joshi, the son of Minister Dr Mahesh Joshi in the Rajasthan government at the Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi. The victim has also told a threat to her life and that of her family. Delhi Police has registered zero FIR and sent the FIR to Rajasthan Police for investigation. At the same time, an affidavit has also surfaced, which is in the name of the victim. It is written in that letter that the victim is living in live-in with Rohit Joshi and has also made physical relations with him willingly. Rohit is married and is also the father of the child. He has filed a divorce from his w ife. It is also written in the affidavit that if the relationship between us (victim and Rohit Joshi) deteriorates then we will separate. However, when the victim was talked about in relation to this affidavit, she claims that Rohit Joshi had got her signature done by some plain paper, perhaps the same paper has been used to make the affidavit in a fake manner.


What’s the matter?

In the statement given to the police, the victim girl has said that she had come in contact with accused Rohit Joshi through Facebook. Then there was friendship between the two. After this the two started talking on the phone. Rohit had said that he is upset with his wife. On January 8 last year, he along with Rohit and his friend Swapnil went to Sawai Madhopur. Here he stayed in Swapnil’s ancestral house. There he was given some juice mixed with it. She became unconscious after drinking it. When he regained consciousness the next day, there were no clothes on his body. Rohit was present in the same room. She panicked and started crying. Rohit showed her the photo and video in her nude state. Seeing this she was stunned. He was afraid that Rohit might upload these videos on social media. That’s why she kept quiet. Rohit’s father Mahesh Joshi is a minister in the Rajasthan government.


The victim has also alleged in the FIR that with the passage of time, Rohit kept on blackmailing these pictures and videos in the name of making them viral and forcibly building a relationship with her. He did this in the hotel of Jaipur, the office of friend Swapnil and Vatika farmhouse. He also used to beat her for refusing to have a relationship. Not only this, if the victim talked to another youth, Rohit would not allow her to talk to any other youth. He also used to pressurize the victim to leave the job. The victim says that on September 3 to 4 last year, she had come from Jaipur to Delhi in connection with the interview. Rohit had already reached here. Both the emperors stayed in the hotel.


The minister’s son is accused of forcing him to act in the same way by showing him porn videos. If he did not do so, he would give various threats. He also tried to have unnatural sex. Disturbed by this, when he threatened to commit suicide, the accused took him to a farmhouse on 20 April 2021. Here he filled vermilion in the demand of the victim and also took rounds. On 26 June, he took her to Manali on the pretext of honeymoon. She also became pregnant. He came to know about this in the month of August. The victim alleges that her abortion was also done.

The victim reached Sadar Bazar police station in Delhi and gave a complaint on 7th May, on the basis of which a zero FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 376, 377, 328, 366, 506, 509 and 312 of IPC. . The victim told the police that her life and that of her family were in danger. Because of this, she is not able to muster the courage to go to Jaipur. At the same time, Delhi Police has transferred this case to Rajasthan Police. Further investigation in the matter will be done by Rajasthan Police only.
