Lalu Prasad Yadav: CBI raided 17 places in Delhi, Bihar by registering a case against unknown government officials including former Railway Minister Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and their two daughters under various criminal sections in the land bribery case in lieu of job in Railways. During this raid, the CBI has claimed to have found some digital equipment including many incriminating documents.
Soon after his release from jail, Lalu Yadav, the leader of Bihar politics, is once again on the target of CBI. This time the CBI has registered a case against him in the railway recruitment scam between 2005 and 2009. It is alleged that between the year 2008-09, when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister at the Center, he gave jobs in the Railways to the acquaintances of his acquaintances and loved ones, keeping all the rules and regulations in place. It is also alleged that in this case, land was provided to their families at cheap prices. In this case, the CBI on Thursday also raided the residence of his daughter Misa Bharti on Pandara Road in Delhi.
Railway officials can also be blamed
According to CBI sources, many senior railway officials are also on the target of CBI in this case. CBI is also investigating the horoscopes of these officers including their assets. In the coming days, some railway officials may also be arrested in this case. The CBI has come to know during the investigation so far that in the year 2008-09, when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister at the Center, his family members got the cash of ? 60 lakh with the CBI on 27 May 2008, after that on 3 June 2008, 21 Lakhs of cash came, this cash went to their families through companies named Shalini and Manimala. It is also alleged that lands were also taken from those who were recruited in the Railways. The matter first came to the fore in the year 2017 when the Enforcement Directorate investigated Lalu and his family members under the Money Laundering Act and the Income Tax Department under Benami property.
CBI traces Rajesh Agarwal with crores of cash
According to sources, the CBI has also discovered a person named Rajesh Aggarwal in this case, who had cash worth crores in the year 2008-09, it is alleged that Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister at that time at the Center and on his behest this cash was received by Rajesh. Aggarwal, later this amount had reached Lalu Yadav’s family members through shell companies. Can also become hanging.
At present, the political agitation regarding this matter has also intensified and the Congress, including Lalu’s party, has also termed this move of the government as political. CBI raids are going on amidst all the rhetoric and in the coming days other people including his family members can be called for questioning.
