St. Stephen’s College accused of violating admission policy


Graduation Program: St. Stephen’s College (St. Stephen’s College) John Varghese, the principal of the Delhi University Administration (Delhi University Administration A letter has been written on behalf of the Admission Policy for the Graduation Program for the session 2022-2023. Actually, admission in Delhi University will be taken from the next session through CUET (Common University Entrance Test). Welcoming the decision of the UGC, Delhi University took this decision in the Academic Council meeting on March 21.


St. Stephen’s is a minority college included in DU’s top ranked college.Minority College) In which 50 open seats will be filled on the basis of merit of CUET score only. Whereas the remaining 50 percent seats for 50 minority candidates will be filled by adding 85 percent weightage to CUET score and 15 percent on the basis of interview. This interview will be conducted by St Stephen’s College.


There should be only one merit list for admission of candidates belonging to Christian community. In which no sub-categories will be included within the minority community.


85:15 ratio will be applicable on reserved seats

Please note that 15 percent weightage cannot be given by the college for interview to all the candidates, it is against the rules of Delhi University. The 85:15 ratio will be applicable for seats reserved for only 50 percent minority candidates.

Delhi University registrar Vikas Gupta says that non-compliance of the necessary rules for admission will not allow the candidate to be recognized by the university and will be considered void. The candidates may have to bear the brunt for violating the admission policy but DU administration will not be responsible for this.
