Of these, Nigam Pratibha Co-educational School, Bhai Mandeep Nagpal Nigam Vidyalaya, Kewal Park (North), Aruna Nagar (North), East Delhi Municipal Corporation Pratibha Vidyalaya, Mustafabad (East), South Delhi Municipal Corporation Primary cum Bal Balika Vidyalaya, Sanjay Colony The team of Women’s Commission on the schools of Bhati Mines (South) reached for surprise inspection.


The condition of schools is pathetic, unsafe and worrying
The team of Women’s Commission told in its surprise inspection that the condition of these schools is very pathetic. There is no proper arrangement for the safety of girls here. Seeing such a situation, the team of Women’s Commission has expressed concern. The commission told that the gates of all the schools of MCD were open and there was no security guard here. During the inspection of the school in Aruna Nagar, the commission found that sometimes school addicts also enter and threaten the officials. At the same time, syringes, cigarette cans, gutkha wrappers and liquor bottles were also seen in the park. The Delhi Commission for Women has recommended the immediate registration of an FIR in this matter.

Girls forced to defecate in the open
Swati Maliwal told that even today in the schools of MCD of Delhi, girl students have to go for open defecation. What a clean India campaign this is! This situation is very worrying and immediate steps need to be taken to safeguard the future of the girl students. Maliwal further said that I have issued a notice to the Commissioner of Delhi Municipal Corporation in this matter. There should be immediate improvement in the situation and action should be taken against the officials responsible for such dismal condition of the schools.
