Sukesh Chandrashekhar Custody: The Patiala House Court has reprimanded jailed gangster Sukesh Chandrasekhar in the 200 crore money laundering case. Sukesh Chandrasekhar had filed a court petition demanding transfer of the case to another judge. Sukesh accused the judge of bias. On the petition, the Patiala House Court said that remarks against the presiding officer cannot be tolerated. Along with this, the court extended the custody of Sukesh Chandrasekhar till 31 March.
On Saturday (March 18), a hearing was held on the petition of complainant Japna Singh in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case in the Patiala House Court. During this, the court said that it has received a letter petition from Sukesh. The court expressed displeasure over the filing of the petition by Sukesh and also questioned the intention of the petition.
‘When there is relief, the court is good’
The court reprimanded and said that when you get relief then the court is good, when you do not get relief then the court is biased. Expressing displeasure, the court said that the petition is baseless. He will not listen to Sukesh’s petition.
The judge said that the remarks made on the presiding officer cannot be tolerated. The accused has no right to comment on the judge.
The Patiala House Court said that it will not go into the details of the petition. The court will not give any relief on the dictation of an accused, unless that relief is within the purview of the law.
