While giving an official statement, the Punjab Police said that he has been arrested for making communally provocative statements. The Punjab Police also said that 5 notices were sent to them before the arrest, to which they did not respond.
Punjab Police said that on May 1, an FIR was registered against Bagga on behalf of Punjab State Cyber ??Crime, SAS Nagar for inciting people, inciting violence, making false statements on social media and making communally provocative statements. He further said that Bagga was sent notices five times to join the investigation but he did not cooperate in any way. Police say that today after due process, Bagga has been arrested from his house.
