New Delhi: Separatist leader Yasin Malik on Tuesday pleaded in a Delhi court to all the charges against him in a case related to terrorism and separatist activities in Kashmir, including the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). The charges under Court sources gave this information.

Special judge Praveen Singh will hear arguments on sentencing on May 19 for the charges leveled against Malik, the maximum punishment of which is life imprisonment. The special judge had earlier said that “prima facie” it has been established that Malik and others were directly receiving funds for terrorism.
The court had also said that Malik had established an elaborate mechanism across the world for the purpose of raising funds for carrying out terrorist and other illegal activities in Jammu and Kashmir in the name of ‘freedom struggle’.
Court frames charges against them
Meanwhile, the court has given Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, Shabbir Shah, Masarat Alam, Mohammad Yusuf Shah, Aftab Ahmed Shah, Altaf Ahmed Shah , Naeem Khan, Mohammad Akbar Khande, Raja Mehrajuddin Kalwal, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed Shah Watali, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Abdul Rashid Sheikh, and Naval Kishore Kapoor, among other Kashmiri separatist leaders.
Charge letter to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz SEid and was also filed against Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, who has been declared a fugitive in the case.
